I like to make Jewellery from both recycled and new materials (mostly silver). I think some of the silver that is being sent for scrap these days is so beautiful, it shouldnt be just thrown away, but instead remade into something that can be enjoyed again. I will often use a odd earring, or old charm as the center focus of the piece of jewellery. I find used bits of silver carry their own energy, which I find a inspiration to what I then make them into. On the other hand I also enjoy working with new silver, I feel that it is a blank canvas to put new energy into. I am inspired mostly by folklore type stories and myths but also by the nature that I see around me, but often the materials I work with have their own ideas for what they want to be made into.
